There are many causes of weight gain, so what will work best will depend on the cause.
Hypothyroidism is one of the most common causes. Have you checked your basal body temperature to see what your thyroid is doing.
Are you post menopausal? On hormones?
Diet? Do you use sugar free products containing aspartame or sucralose?
Are you diabetic?
How much exercise do you get?
A few tips in the meantime. Of course exercise helps. Also drink plenty of water throughout the day, which will help curb the appetite. Apples also curb the appetite and can be eaten about 20 minutes before a meal so you eat less at the meal. Green apples are better for you than red apples.
Bitters are great as long as you still have a gallbladder. They cleanse the liver to help break down hormones that can increase weight and remove toxins that will otherwise be converted in to fat.
