Help...when to dig echinacea root...habbie news

I'd like to dry some of my purpurea roots this fall. I've never harvested them at this time of year, but I believe that some do. Is there an advantage to digging them in the fall, rather in the early spring? Do I need to wait until the flower head is black and dried up? Any help will be great!

Habaneros are doing great! There are many of them, they hang very low, beneath all of the foliage. there's so much foliage, I wonder that they will ripen. This is the first year that I've grown them from seed. Northcentral PA, has had so much rain and cooler weather, not the norm for summer weather. The hubby placed a makeshift 'hot frame' over them just to reserve any possible heat. So far so good.

parasite cleanse is pretty unremarkable, at this point, only been using the humaworm for a week, faithfully using IF 1, and will start the IF 2 on Sunday. I believe there is enough IF 2 to see me through the remainder of the humaworm. Only possible die-off symptoms may have been one afternoon, when I was so sleepy. Hope to refrain from CE's at this time, and plan to Liver-Flush one week following the Humaworm. Feeling wonderful. blessins momo
