Re: Kefir and colon cleansing?
(This is reposted here from Ask CureZone, Bowel Cleanse, and Kefir Grains. Avoiding a crossover between this forum and others as per Unyquity's requests.) Thanks bunches :)
Hello people, Howdy Insight!
I'm in the midst of another round of colon cleansing (Schulze's IF #1&2) and I got a hold of kefir grains two days ago because I suspect dysbiosis as a cause of some of my problems. (I'm hoping it is dybiosis/mucoid plaque/impactions causing the pain and other issues, rather than a partially strangulated bowel or an obstruction of some sort, though some symptoms hint at that.) What symptoms are you having that make you think you have a lack of beneficial microorganisms in your digestive tract? Those symptoms usually mimic those of a lack of bile flow and/or pancreatic enzymes...so how are your CE's, liver care and liver flushes coming along?
Is your appendix still intact - or did they carve that out already? It's fairly uncommon to have a lack of beneficial microorganisms when the appendix is intact. Slow/sluggish digestion is more likely to be lack of bile flow - so when/if you reply, PLEASE give me the details on the last month or two of your liver work (and it'd be best if you start a new thread so it doesn't get buried).
>>> partially strangulated bowel or an obstruction of some sort, though some symptoms hint at that<<< :::sigh::: As we know, an impacted, sluggish bowel is at the root of strangulated bowel and obstructions...and prolapsed colon and hernia and all diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, IBS, constipation...and bowel cancer.
Will the kefir interfere with the colon cleanse if I drink only a little in the morning on an empty stomach an hour or so before the charcoal/clay drink(IF#2)? Naaah, a tiny bit of kefir isn't going to interfere with IF#1/IF#2.
I've read that kefir stimulates peristalsis so perhaps it won't interfere in that regard, but there might be a cross reaction between the herbs and kefir? If there is somekind of a 'cross reaction', I'd think it would extremely tiny.
Milk kefir is probably "mucus-forming" due to it being dairy, but since it is live and promotes healthy flora and regularity, will it still decrease the effectiveness of the IF#2 in the same way eating a cheese-burger or a quesadilla will? Not likely
Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. So by now you've likely given it a try. What's the results so far? Remember, fermented foods can cause an increase in bowel activity because it's too MANY microorganisms unbalancing the gut flora, and that's not a 'cure' at all :(
Blessings aplenty - Unyquity
P.S. oh yes, and how are you doing with the cayenne powder?
