If cholesterol was causing problems say with the heart, clogged arteries maybe then surely that would raise bp.

Yes, narrowing of the arteries will raise blood pressure. But cholesterol deposition, like blood pressure, have nothing to do with cholesterol levels. A person can have high cholesterol and low blood pressure or low cholesterol and high blood pressure. levels of one does not alter the readings of the other.

Anyway it is inflammation that causes arterial plaque, and if there is any damage done, then the cholesterol comes to heal and repair, and then builds up. I believe that is correct, so cholesterol is not the primary cause.

I haven't read any of the writeups yet, just what i'd read in the past.

Ah, a student that was paying attention in class when I went over this before
