I didn't understand everything you wrote.

But did I get this right:

If I get this:

And this:
http://www.hottdealss.com/Potassium%20iodide.html


These two will keep indefinitely, correct?
Or do I need to make Lugol's of it first?

Then, after some years, when I'm out of Iodoral, all I need is some alcohol to make Lugol's of the above?

Will I need to use up everything from the container(s) right away, once the seal has been broken?
I wouldn't know what to do with a liter of Lugol's. :)
