IMHO any nutrients or hormones that are excreted in urine are quite obviously surplus to the needs of the body, otherwise they would not be excreted in the first place, but utilised by the body.

It is not only excess nutrients and hormones that are excreted, but waste products, that if remaining in the body would eventually poison it.

Feces also contain nutrients and hormones that are not absorbed into the system the first go round, but I would never advocate people to eat their own feces. The same can be said for sweat, and I can't see anyone wanting to drink their own sweat either, unless they were in dire need of salts.

This is just my opinion, I don't personally care if people want to drink their own wee, its just not for me.
