For those that would love to have the chance to see ONE HUNDRED "falling stars" PER HOUR...get your blankets, lawn chairs, coolers and natural 'bug spray' together - and get thyselves OUT of the city lights and into the country (anywhere with a clear view of the sky) between midnight & dawn Tuesday "night" (actually Wednesday morning).
If the sky is clear (and the moon will do her best not to enlighten the sky), the light show WILL be FANTASTIC! Frustratingly, the moon was full on the 6th, so her light will likely prevent us from seeing all the 'not so brilliant' meteors.

We are psyched. For the first time in MANY a year we've got a forecast here in SE Iowa of a "mostly clear" sky (it's typically humid & hazy in August); and no matter how bright the moon is, if the sky is clear and one is out of the 'city light pollution', it's an absolutely glorious time to let your inner child come out to play...and let him/her squeal for joy and sigh in wonderment.
There is NO "computer generated visual" that can EVER match the glorious majesty of a Perseids "fireball" shooting across the sky!
