Thank you for blessing us with your personal story.

Like you, I believe in personal choice to die naturally with dignity, but everyone's idea of what is "with dignity" is different.

My Dad wants to live as long as possible. His idea of dignity is fighting it with medical means....yes, he is in the "kill it" mentality. He thinks he is going out in a blaze of glory...all guns firing to kill the enemy.


As we listened to the nurse tell us that he should not use any herbs or natural means of healing because it would grow more cells and chemo is suppose to kill all the cells, I was sad to think that my small gestures of peppermint backrubs would soon come to an end.


My idea of dying naturally with dignity and his idea are totally different, but I keep my thoughts to myself. Both ways end up with the same ending but not the same journey.

Thank you Moreless for teaching me things my own Daddy could not.
