Re: Water fasting vs raw

Well I think you have your theory and I have mine.

I did not think this was a debate forum. I do not follow movements mindlessly. I use what works.

Tribes do not have access to food like we do. That is why they are thin. Not just the natural diet.

Calorie counting is not tedious at all. Tedious is an opinion. You learn portions by it. You don't count everthing like you never ate it before. Memory is a useful thing. Low fat dieting can cause gallstones. It has been shown. Despite the teaching you personally follow. Science is just a theory and everyone has one.

Starvation = When the body slows the metabolism to deal with what it is being given. This can come from fasting, cutting calories too low or being crappy food.
You can not meet your macronutrient needs on less than 1000.
The body would not slow the metab so much on a Water Fast if what you say is true. I think anyone who has water fasted or failed/given up on VLC diets can speak of that.
VLC diets are also to be done in a doctors care because the body does need a certain amount of carbs to help regulate fluids and some are more prone to dehydration. Its one of the reasons some have issues with Water Fasting and juice suits their body better. Fat burning is not starvation. Eating under 1000 calories is.

Calorie restriction does not advise to eat only 800 calories a day. CRON eating is usually 1000-1500 instead of 1500-2000.
