Raw, or even cooked high water content foods are generally low in calories, so you can eat more and achieve a low calorie diet.

However, calories are an invention of Weigh-Watchers and Slimming clubs that need to count calories in order to lose weight.

Optimum Nutrition and Calorie-counting are Worlds apart.

If you are not losing weight, then you are receiving sufficient calories, but if you are gaining weight you are eating too many.
Calorie counting is irrelevant on a Nutrient-dense and high- water-content and mostly-raw-diet.
