Wow, on a personal level, I'm so glad this thread went even further. I can see where I was getting defensive with Trap when I didn't need to. (I'm sorry, Trapper)
The pain of what I lived with as a child went much deeper than I thought. I loved my parents deeply, but there was a LOT of fighting and smoking and hollering and yelling and
LOTS of emotional pain.
I think I connected a lot of it to cigarettes back then...and simply having no say.
So much damage. I don't see how the human race can last the way it does without iodine, or its companion nutrients.
How long can it possibly last?
All those additives in the cigarettes - towards the end of her life, my mother kept trying to drive that point home with all of us - that it's the ADDITIVES that kill, NOT the tobacco! (Out of 5 kids, I'm the only one who didn't take up smoking.)
