Re: New here, need plan to restore adrenal health before insomnia kills me, feedback sought

I totally can relate as I have suffered from the worst of the severe adrenal fatigue with cortisol & aldosterone deficiency symtpoms now for over 2.5 years. The most tormenting and difficult symtpoms have been sleep deprivation and altered circadian rhythm. I know the desparation you must feel. Just from the brief bit you shared I recommend obtaining assistance from a MD that is very experienced in dealing with adrenal fatigue that has impacted your thyroid (cold feet and hands). Also check your basal temperature when you first wake up, before getting out of bed, if you do get to any sleep. A low temp is indicative of lowered thyroid functioning. Also you may check your pupil response in the mirror by darkening the room then shinning a light in your pupil and watch to see if the pupil first contricts and then dilates to check for adrenal functioning at home.
Salvia testing with checking cortisol at 4 points during the day & DHEA-S levels to see if deficient in these would give you a baseline.
Dr. Michael Lam has the most in depth articles on adrenal fatigue on the internet that there are. His website addresses vitamin C with proline & lysine and much much more. His article on OAT is great! Dr. James Wilson's book is also good, however I did try his supplement regimine for severe adrenal fatigue for 6 months without success.
I have gone in debt tens of thousands of dollars on supplements, compounded meds, doctors, testing, products, and hundreds of hours of research in the pursuit of sleep and that amount of cash spent while knowing that I had advanced adrenal fatigue. So I highly recommend finding a someone very experienced with adrenal fatigue ( and not just someone who says they can help you) before you also have the burden of financial hardship when unable to work and still not be able to sleep. Best to you.
