I'm thinking about doing a 14 day water fast. My plan is do this a part of an overall plan to get into shape. Right now my only concern is a lose of muscle mass during the fast itself. After the fast I plan on hitting the gym pretty hard and move into a higher protein diet once my digestive system has been restarted. Are muscle gains improved after a fast like this. Also, will a faster gain muscle during a fast if they lift weights while on the fast? my gut feelings says no but I'm not sure.
