Do you experience depression? And do these stimulants calm you?

I experienced Depression for 25 years before I was analyzed and informed of it, and had it defined for me. I knew, though, that it was not just emotional in origin, but some kind of imbalance. Sort-of opposite of you.
When I don't eat for a while, or get too many toxins, I get high-strung and intense, often impatient, nervous, frustrated, reactive, forgetful, rushing, angry. Is that what you mean by nervous/emotional? Then I take some refreshments and I can feel my body relax, calm down and often feel sleepy. This is my cortisol release.
My mother was classified as mentally ill, but when I began becoming like her, I was determined to find out the real cause, which brought me to where I am now.
My son explains it like you do, but he has all of my symptoms, only not as intense.
There is still a reason why you rely on stimulants, and they are definately stimulating your body to "help" you. There is an inseparable connection between your hormones and your emotions, despite traditional thinking.
Many or most people who are suicidal, are also depressed, and it effects their emotions directly. I am often irritated by my grand children, but not when my adrenals are up. Then I have warm feelings/love...usually after a good night's sleep. The glands effect the emotions dramatically. Ask any woman.
There are many people on alcohol, cigarettes, in the state hospital and in prison partly because they have low adrenal function. After suffering with it for over 30 years, I blame a lot of things on my hypoadrenia, but if it scares anyone to admit that they may have this illness, you need to know that it is generally cureable, as long as you can retrace your steps.
Just follow the TOXINS to their source...too often it is a candida infection.
I was recovering pretty good until I ingested arsenic from loading treated lumber. Now I am quite sensitive and I know that there are a lot of toxins in here and out there.
I commend you on your continued abstinence. Good work!
