This is a photo of a modern closed colonic system. The water is first pre-filtered of particulate and chemical contaminants, and then passes through an ultraviolet light filter inside the unit to kill any remaining germs before being introduced into your colon.

As you release, the waste matter passes out of your colon and through the lighted observation tube, where you and the therapists can view the results. A specimen collection bottle can be attached at the right of the unit, if desired, to trap parasites and to collect a stool specimen for further analysis.
