Re: Also...Yes it's normal!
Hi again, you said '... apparently I'm not doing the
colonic "right"!'
I didn't mean to imply that. A first
colonic experience can be somewhat challenging, especially if you've never had an enema before and don't know what to expect to feel as water is introduced into the colon.
I would suggest that you take a look at the following links on how to go about giving yourself an enema:

Enemas are often helpful in a variety of situations other than constipation, such as relieving pre-menstrual discomfort, headaches, stress, and speeding up recovery from illness, as well as contributing to an overall sense of well being.
Some may tell you that even occasional enemas can contribute to a "lazy colon", but in my experience, professional as well as personal, I can say that if anything, enemas on a periodic basis help to stregthen and tone the colon. And they will help you to get used to the sensation of water being introduced into your colon and assist in understanding how much water your colon can accept without excessive discomfort.
The late Princess Diana was probably the world's most influential advocate for colon cleansing, and went for weekly
colonics at London's prestigious Hale Clinic. When she traveled she said she always packed her enema bag. She credited colon cleansing with helping to maintain her radiant complexion and hair, as well as relieving stress.
So again, I think you are off to an excellent start in the right direction.
Best wishes, Valerie
