Re: 2nd Colonic - is this normal?

Hi, yes it's not that uncommon to have a significant release several hours following a colonic, and when it happens it's often associated with a sensation of weakness and/or nausea. During your colonic, water is typically absorbed into your body, particularly if you are dehydrated, and as your body rebalances, that water goes into the colon and helps wash out toxic waste, not necessarily in the form of solid stool.

Talk to your therapist before you start the next time, and ask her to stop the fill when you signal. It can be a verbal statement like "now", or just raising your hand as a signal to switch to the release cycle. You can receive a thorough cleanse by more of smaller fill-release cycles, just as you can from a fewer number of larger fill/releases.

The important thing is that you feel comfortable, and that the session doesn't promote anxiety but relaxation. Don't be afraid to speak up and take some control.

Valerie
