"Thou shalt not kill" is indefinite. It doesn't state what thou shalt not killeth. Shall we not kill fish to eat them ? Shall we not kill predators who attack ? etc.
Ohhh, people say, "you know what it means, it means don't kill other people"
Really ?
Why does that commandment come after keeping the sabbath holy ? Is it more important to not work one day a week, than to not kill ? Or is there no order of importance ?
If theres no order of importance, then the first commandment could just as well come last, but isn't the first one the very basis of monotheism ? Then its position as being first would imply an order of importance.
