Wow, nice to hear about the water retention resolving itself.  When fasting to make yourself healthier, that's really not a nice thing to see.  A checkup after 41 days seems like a great precaution, especially if it was with a fasting expert... which i'm guessing it isn't, but nevertheless, it's something.  I'm still thinking about finding such a person in case i get to a certain point and find myself yearning for reassurance, though i haven't been to a doctor in 15 years. Does anyone know all of the things, specifically that should be checked for?    Would some test for electrolyte levels and other minerals/vitamins/amino acids/fatty acids be a part of it?   What kinds of things can be self-checked?
