Painful "Thrush" sores in my mouth (Candida) just two days after a gallbladder flush...

So, I just did my first gallbladder flush two days ago, actually yesterday morning is when my stones were passed. Later on yesterday I began getting painful white sores in my mouth the doctor said was "thrush" and she gave me Nystatin mouth wash. Could there be a direct relationship between the flush, it's after effects and these painful sores? What is the best way to treat these painful sores? From my research it appears this is the Candida I've been hearing so much about. What do I do about this? It was frustrating to have a successful flush and my abdominal pain gone and then to have these awful sores in my mouth. It hurts to eat, drink, even talk!
