Very interesting. I've always had the feeling that OP all by itself could keep the mouth from deteriorating no matter what shape the gums or teeth were in.
I guess this comes partly from experience since my dentist told me 15 years ago that I would lose half my teeth in the next 10 years without massive oral surgery. This was because of how prematurely receeded my gums were with roots already exposed on many of my teeth.
Here I am 15 years later without ANY oral surgery and have not lost a single tooth. In fact my oral health seems better than ever judged by lack of pain, sensitivity, bleeding, etc. And all I do is brush once a day with a Sonicare electric TB and OP on average 3-4 times a week.
