Feeling weak? Drink more juice! And it's NORMAL to have times of weakness and body temperature changes (drops) when first getting into juice fasting (even after you've done it). That's our bodies getting used to a whole new form of energy and energy processing. See Tierra's posts - she's thin and lost VERY little weight.
Be cautious on adding oils - they take a LOT of energy to process. Gerson allowed NONE initially, then only 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil daily. If doing the full IP, on liver weeks, one ingests almost TWO CUPS of olive oil. Dr. Christopher (on his IP) had full body oil rubs daily (wheat germ, olive, & castor oil). On the Mucusless Diet, he added 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or wheat germ oil daily.
Meats, dairy, grains, etc., all take 4-6 hours to be broken down, and assimilation depends upon the state of your entire intestinal tract (how many Colon Cleanses you have completed to remove the putrefying rubbery debris covering the villi that do the assimilating, etc); whether or not your body is making enough enzymes; whether the food has been chewed thoroughly/properly (mixed with the digestive enzymes in the saliva); whether the food was dead or alive (with it's own enzymes); the amount of nutrients in the food that require excess energy to break away from the "bulk" (as in meat); whether the food is mucous forming (more mucous means less assimilated).
Methinks if you both have 'underweight issues', you've likely tried increasing your "calorie count" to gain weight...and it obviously hasn't worked (???) That's because (once again!) "science" has it ALL wrong! Dr. Christopher/Schulze knew this. They cured tens of thousands of people that were more emaciated than ANYone on this forum...but following their diets & juicing plan, they got WELL! Calories are 'energy units'...but if it takes 65% of our body's energy to process high calorie food that is difficult to break down/assimilate the small amount of nutrients it contains AND the colon is filthy (AND the liver is clogged, and the food is not chewed, etc., etc., etc.)...you only assimilate a small portion of the calories you're ingesting vs. spending a LOT of energy (calories) to process it.
Ever see an emaciated great ape? They live primarily on fruits & greens (with a few bugs thrown in occasionally). Ever see a skinny, grass-fed/pastured bull/heifer? A deer without muscle mass?

P.S. emmah & eurovw...you two are in entirely different situations. Emmah, if you don't follow the food program precisely, the Liver & Kidney cleanses will still 'do their thing' and cleanse your liver & kidneys (but you NEED to follow the 5-day Liver Cleanse with a big flush - the 5-Day cleanse is a great prep, but Schulze always did the 'big flush' when in clinical practice). The juice fasting and vegan eating gives your body more energy to apply to cleanse, and more high-quality fuel to utilize when we're asking it to expend more energy.
Eurovw - You have been diagnosed and have the symptoms of an "incurable", MD. I understand you may be in a "gathering information" stage, and that is why you're not undertaking the full Incurables Program. I highly recommend you get your head around what you need to be doing for the program, how & why it works, and then decide whether to do it, or not...because I can guarantee you, it will NOT work doing it 'one piece at a time'. You're working against your own healing by attempting to "piece it together" bit by bit and part by part. Of course, every lil' bit helps to restore something. But the IP program is designed as a FULL BODY program...if you do the juice fasting and one or two organ cleanses without doing the daily cayenne/garlic, without doing the hot/cold showers; without doing the daily coffee enemas and 3x weekly high enemas followed by implants, without the BF&C...your body will NOT have everything it needs to create a full-body healing, and the results will not only be discouraging, in your case not getting optimal results is life-threatening. I care far more about you than to not give you the truth so that you can use it to heal yourself and save your life.

Change to high-grade fuel before cleansing and restoring the damage from the cheap fuel? :::sigh::: That can end up being a waste of fuel (too rich for the compromised system to handle). The human body is no different. It's always much more effective to 'put it up on blocks' and do a full body cleanse/restore, than it is to do it one at a time. Yep, it's more work, but it's FAR more effective (and you'll get MUCH more life out of the car by doing it that way). Remember: in this toxic/poisoned world, our bodies are like high-performance automobiles CONSTANTLY in overdrive (generally running on VERY low grade fuel with extremely little maintenance). There's no truly safe/healthy protocol (maintenance) we can do, that's as extreme as the totally unnatural conditions we live in. And it's only MDs and "alternative practitioners" that believe we can deal with one system of the body at a time. EVERY system/organ in the body depends upon every other. (Perhaps those analogies weren't "mechanically/technically perfect", but I'm sure you get the idea). In one of Dr. Schulze s interviews he talks about how many people say: "Well I did a colon cleanse; I did several Liver Flushes already; yeah, I juice fasted a few years ago; yes! I did hot/cold showers; I tried the vegan thing; I took herbs...none of it worked!" And Dr. Schulze replies, "But did you ever do everything TOGETHER?".<<<
