I have to tell you a little story. I guess you both know I've been drinking lots of green smoothies using lots of nutrient dense greens since Mothers Day. I have been feeling invigorated to say the least, haven't had up to Sat. night any meat.
I went out Sat. night to a steak house where all the meat is grass fed beef. Now I have loved a great steak that melts in your mouth like butter and no other steakhouse has them like the one I visited Sat. night. So needless to say I ordered the giant ribeye cooked medium well with a baked potato and a salad.
I'll have to say that the first few bites of the steak were heaven. It tasted wonderful to me. But the more I ate the more "off" the steak started tasting, so in the end I couldn't finish it. I did eat all of the salad and all of the baked potato and they were great all the way to the end LOL.
I have come to the conclusion that my tastes have finally changed for the better YAY, YAY!!!! Now thats not to say I'll never eat meat again but I can't see myself eating it in the near future anyway.
I did notice that a couple of hours after the meal I started feeling funny, not sick really just not up to par and I can only conclude it had to do with eating the steak. I felt heavy in my stomach for hours after eating it and I've haven't felt that way for weeks. So its not a very scientific study but it did tell me that I'm better off without meat.
