I agree completely with the advice from #17627. There are good colon therapists out there who really care about their client's needs, and would never think of leaving the room while the client is on the machine.
Find someone new. The closed systems mentioned by #17627 are "state of the art", cost a lot more than the open Libbe types, and are usually purchased by the more highly trained and committed therapist, as opposed to some of the "fly-by-night, relatively untrained operators like the one you describe who use the relatively inexpensive gravity flow systems.
