The yeasty beasties can talk

One of the things I am exploring in situations of Antibiotic resistant bugs and fungal creatures, is a primative form of communication called "quorum sensing". There is quite a "buzz" among scientists about this phenomenon.

It means that bacterial, and most microbes use a form of chemical language which helps them make colonies, or turn on special genes. Bees, and ants do things like this.

There is also growing evidence that they secrete chemical signals that our bodies respond to,[they talk to us] and when we make chemicals things like hormones, they can listen in, and respond accordingly.

This is important, because if you can screw up their sending and receiving communications, while using herbs or whatever, it could have a much higher effect.
Agents that do this are being investigated as alternatives to fight these infectious buggers. Shroom
