Re: Happy Mother's Day to the ladies of Curezone
Aw. We love you, too, Bill.
I'd like to add a little story. My f-i-l is a good man, but an exasperating one. We do love him very much and we do honor him (and his wife) by still being there for them when we are able.
That said, I remember one time when we were there, many years ago helping him on his property. My folks were there, too. My f-i-l (the retired baptist minister) started to complain to my mother how he needed my hubby one time and my hubby could not help HIM, because he was helping ME.
My f-i-l was angry and spouted about his son: "A child should HONOR THY MOTHER AND THY FATHER! He should have told his
wife that he should be THERE for his PARENTS!!!!"
My mother was fuming. Absolutely fuming. She defended her daughter, looked him right in his eye, and angrily shot back: "a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his WIFE!"
My late mother was the only person I know who could absolutely silence my father-in-law in mid-rant. We always said they were a good match!
Happy Mother's Day, Mom.
I love you
I miss you
I honor you
Love,
Karen
