Re: Broke fast, but not very hungry :(

Hi Bocuma,

First let me say nicely done.  In 13 days of water fasting you accomplished a tremendous amount of cleansing.  A rather impressive fast for a first timer!

"Even though my tounge was still coated with icky stuff and I felt I could have gone on, I broke the fast yesterday with some juices..."

Excellent choice to break the fast with juices.  I'm sure you have made all the nutritarians very happy :).

"So, I woke up this morning, had some fresh squeezed orange juice, but I'm not hungry at all and feel a little queezy! This is probably me being scared but did I break the fast too early and leave a whole load of toxins in my system, or is this normal for breaking a long fast? I'm guessing I'm just freaking out a bit and just have to take it easy and give my stomach a chance to wake up..."

My opinion is that your body was enjoying the fast and would have been happier for a while to keep on fasting.  But you had your reasons for breaking it and your body will soon adjust.  As to any toxins left in your system, i don't believe that is a problem and whatever was left in the blood and elsewhere when you broke your water fast, you are continuing to eliminate them from your system by drinking juice only, while slowing the emergence of new toxins being kicked up for elimination (by a factor of about 3).

As to "feeling a little queasy", was this before or after you drank the juice?... presumably after?  and how much did you have?  If you had more than your body was ready for, that could certainly bring on this symptom.  Also, since you woke up not feeling hungry, it might have worked better to wait a while until your appetite was roused before taking your juice.  But it should be no big deal.

How are you doing now? Since your post was from 21 hours ago, i am guessing you are feeling a lot better already.

Best wishes,

Mighty Sun Tzu
