Re: Sorry for the delay - this thread hard to tell who is talking to who
I came from a dysfunctional family (severely dysfunctional,...as if there is such a thing as "severely"). I was the "principled" person and was resented/mocked/ridiculed for being so because a "principled character" makes other people who are not principled look bad (I was chosen to be the flunky of the family). I suffered 51 years of suicidal
Depression because I saw that the world is not all it is cracked up to be (I was sad/depressed/poor in spirit).
Matthew 5:3
"Blessed are the poor in spirit..." (I didn't know God's identity yet or care anything about the "bible").
Because I believed in justice (only being just), I always endured my own misfortunes/sufferings myself instead of made my problems someone else's.
Now I know/understand that there is a very important doctrine/understanding of "suffrage". We must learn to pick up our cross (carry our own cross, without a "pity party") BEFORE we can be Godly..."he who endures (and remains who they are) to the end will BE SAVED (Matthew 10:22).
Luke 9:23
"And he said to all, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me".

Anytime we suffer and endure for the sake of goodness, The Lord's kingdom of righteousness is being upheld.
Suffrage is probably the most important learning experience (The Lord teaches retroactively, trials).
"WILL BE SAVED"...........The common teaching that simply acknowledging Jesus as savior and "doing this and that" is the same kind of teaching that the Pharisees taught.
Matthew 23:15
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves".
I never understood how a Godly person could EVER actually desire vengeance, because it is of no practical use, but because of what the modern day moneychangers do to the people (steal their souls/blood), now I understand (I'll just leave it to The Lord).
Romans 12:19
"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
Rev 6:10
"they cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before thou wilt judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell upon the earth?"
