Re: I getting grossed out.. thinking about this..could anyone help?

That's good but keep in mind: when you go to a restaurant, or your family makes food for you, or you dig in the garden or whatever, you're also at risk from parasites. Your workmates are probably not special as far as being parasite-ridden (in fact, who knows, some of them might be freer from parasites than some others who look healthier - we can't always tell from the outside). People (including you) may not have washed the produce well enough, or they may not have washed their own hands well enough... There's a limit to how careful you can be and still live your life. If you worry a ton about parasites, you won't be living your life, you'll be constantly worried about parasites, because they're everywhere.

My life has been damaged by parasites, my physical health has suffered, probably greatly. But I'm not sorry for any living I did to get them, I'm only sorry that my body was so depleted in the first place such that they could take over. I would still rescue animals and do what I can for folks, even if I felt there was a risk. That's just my philosophy. I do not want to be ruled by and overwhelmed by parasites or risk of parasites - but I do want to do what I can to handle them, and to keep my body strong in the future. I think trying to stay positive, proactive, and kind and helpful to those around you is important - for others and for yourself!
