CE's and the whole "germ thing"...Re: Need Tips on Coffee Enema, Enema Equipment?

Tierra (and everyone) -

We've used the same "disposable" $6 enema bucket kit we started with (from S.A. Wilsons) for over three years. You do not have to throw it away - just clean it after every use. I have a state certificate in food management/safety/sanitation, so I am very familiar with 'sterilization' & the proliferation of disease-causing pathogens. I keep my water heater extremely hot, so I don't need to do more than run scalding water through the bucket & tubing...most people can simply use hot water and add a big splash of hydrogen peroxide.

Every 3-5 days (depending upon usage), I scrub the bucket inside and out with Miracle II soap & H202, and then let the scalding soapy water run through the tubing. We've replaced the tubing one time in 3 years.

Enema before & after?

It's beneficial to do a plain warm water enema to rinse away fecal matter before the coffee enema. I now "go" 15-20 minutes after I eat any substantial quantity of anything...so I do my CE's after that - and I haven't bothered to do a "pre enema" in years.

There's no need to do a water enema after a coffee enema...unless you feel like you didn't expel all the coffee solution.

SALINE enema - I say NEVER (and "double never" for "daily"). Dr. Christopher, Dr. Schulze , and ESPECIALLY Dr. Gerson...ZERO SALT. Our bodies actually need less salt than the grains you would get on the tip of a q-tip if you moistened it and touched it to a bit of salt. While this is HIGHLY debatable (and this forum is not yet ready to 'go there'), the amount of salt assimilated in an enema is likely WAY too much (healthy salt or otherwise).

I like taking the tincture before my CE's because the bitter herbs in the tincture stimulate the liver....but I have gallons of it at my disposal. However the majority of the tincture is milk thistle (the bitter herbs are VERY strong/bitter, making it seem like it's primarily bitter herbs). Before I made the liver tincture, I sometimes used a tablespoon or two of fresh ginger root juice (and I still do that sometimes as well).

There's no need to use up your tincture for "coffee enema-ing" (unless you have plenty of money to buy more for your upcoming liver work). Gerson saved thousands of lives with CE's...and they are very effective without ANY herb beforehand. The tincture/ginger is just a "kicker" that me n' my liver appreciate.

Folks (I do not mean this "at" Tierra) - our colons are TEEMING with microorganisms - our digestive tract naturally contains both candida & e.coli - these are only disease-causing when they are out of balance. The concept that water/enema solution must be totally "sterile", can be exaggerated unnecessarily. Of COURSE we cleanse and sterilize our enema equipment after each use...mainly because of the possibility of mold growing where it's continually damp. Hot water and air drying (even if the water is not scalding) will generally remove all bacteria from an enema bucket - the only real issue here is the tubing (which tends to stay wet for a long time).

Think of it logically - most people would FREAK if their child (or themselves) touched anything that came out of the colon (OMG - the GERMS!!!!...and then run for the bleach/disenfectant)...but then they're worried about make sure whatever they put INTO the colon is sterile.

I'm not saying not to use good hygeine...I'm just saying to use common sense - and especially to not overburden yourselves with wasted time & energy that could be used for healing and relaxing :)

Blessings -
