Hi Blyth. I am not really an advocate for Antibiotic treatments for 2 reasons: 1) If the problem is a multiphase parasite, the Antibiotics could work to reinforce the infection, plus create a systemic imbalance in host\ microbial relationship. Most doctors are not equipped with enough awareness, to properly select the exact drug[s] or protocol.
2) Antibiotics contains live fungus, which could confer properties to resident fungi [I am talking mostly penicillium] and this could open the door for opportunistic over-growth of some forms of fungi. [immune system will re-establish normal flora in most cases].
This scenario is only hypothetical according to my own observations, and will only apply to some people.
My opinion is, if pathogenic fungi has taken root in a host, serious health declines will result without medical intervention. This is rare in most cases involving otherwise [HLA] healthy people. Shroom
