Re: Day 3 and failed. dang it!
Hi Mikka,
"I think I will be taking the advice that was given to me to juice fast week days and water fast on the weekends."
You'll find yourself with quite a bit more strength. Do you lift 50 pound bags of cement? ;)
"I actually made it through most of day 3, but my hands were really shakey, I had a major migraine, my whole body ached, and I felt like a complete mess. The symptoms I was having a few hours ago, were wayy different from day 1 or 2."
Sounds like your body was saying, "hey, this is way too much work in a water fast, what are you thinking?". Mouseclick gave you 3 days in this situation and as it turns out, he was right :p.
"I must be really unhealthy to have felt like that??"
To this i say "no". I believe most very healthy people would meet the same end attempting to do a lot of heavy lifting in a water fast. The two are so very incompatible... simply not meant for eachother.
"Going cold turkey and fasting for a longer period of time, is definitely easier said than done. I was doing it for the weight loss... and... I'm not expecting to be able to fast for more than a couple days at a time, right off the bat now."
Seems you were doing great but the work was too much. You learned through direct experience a little bit about water fasting and our limitations while in it's midst. While you are fasting, it would be very good to contemplate the many fantastic benefits that are taking place within your body and not only the fat burning. Not sure how much you have explored this, but i will include a recent post of my own with some physician's quotes and some links:
