Re: Water fast day 2

Hi Sara,

A bit of feedback on your questions:

"My question is as this is my first fast, is this all normal?"

"Today, I am very weak and cold chills. I am sitting in front of my heater have on my socks which is usual for me. Just put on a big heavy sweater."

Feeling cold in a fast is very typical and you are doing all the right things to keep yourself warm and comfortable.

"I did not have a bm today."

I would be more surprised if you had one.

"I found that I am starting to get nauseated"

nausia, while not terribly common this early, is certainly one of the symptoms we can feel.

"and have to watch how I rise out of bed."

Your body is eliminating a lot of toxins, especially in this early stage... so your blood and urine are quite a bit more toxic than usual as this is happening. This toxicity will definately make us light headed (when rising too fast from laying or sitting)... I have at times felt very light headed when urinating, to the point where i sat down to do this... which for a man is... um... kind of humiliating. :)

"Today I am not really hungry but I drink very little water. I drink when thirsty."

I might draw some debate on this point, but i believe in the first 3-4 days it's better to drink a substantial amount of water to help with the heaviest amount of toxic elimination (perhaps 8 cups per day) and then upon thirst in the days to follow (which might typically be 1-4 cups).

I wish you the best in your fast.

Mighty Sun Tzu
