Re: WaterWise 4000

MH and all,

Hello!
HAY

We just got our tax money back and we are looking at a few distillers. Our price range for the moment is no more than $300 for a first time distiller. I have looked at a few and looked at the waterwise you suggested. The cheapest one goes for around $260 and up. It's a waterwise 400! It's a counter top model and makes about one gallon every four hours or so.
THEY ALL SHOULD MAKE 1 GALLON PER 4 HOURS, IF THEY WORK FASTER THAN THAT, THEN THEY WOULD NOT BE VERY GOOD.

There are two adults and one three year old in our house hold. If it can make up to a five gallons a day...would that be enough to sustain a family of three?
YOU NEED 2 GALLONS MAX OF WATER PER DAY FOR ALL 3 OF YOU, IF YOUR WATEROLICS....3 GALLONS WILL LAST ME ALL YEAR IF I COULD HAVE ALL FRESH JUICE EVERY DAY!!!!

This one also has a glass collector instad of plastic...which is a plus.
REMEMBER GLASS BREAKS EASY, I HAVE BROKEN PLENTY YEARS AGO WHEN I WANTED GLASS ONLY. TODAY I SETTLE FOR NUMBER 7 HARD PLASTIC, BUT REMEMBER ALSO, I RARELY DRINK WATER.

We are planning for a baby as well so at the most we are looking at four people living off of this distiller in the future.
FUTURE?????????? THEN YOUR DISTILLER IS A MAJOR APPLIANCE, BUY THE 12 GALLON MODEL AND IT WILL LAST 12+ YEARS OR MAYBE FOR EVER! THE TABLE TOPS ALL HAVE 1 THING IN COMMON, THEY BREAK. WHY? THE LAW MAKES THEM PUT IN SAFETY FEATURES AND THESE IN LINE FUSES BURN OUT AND YOUR DISTILLER IS THEN TRASH...BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT AND WON'T GO BACK..

I have heard waterwise distillers have a long life and parts can be replaced!
PARTS YES? LONG LIFE? DEPENDS HOW GOOD YOUR ELECTRIC IS, IF YOUR ELECTRIC IS POOR, A TABLETOP MAY LAST A YEAR OR 2 IF YOUR LUCKY OR MAYBE A MONTH, BUT WATERWISE DOES HONOR THEIR WARRENTY WHILE THE BAD WEBSITES TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN REFUSE TO TALK TO YOU.

IS this true! Would this be a good choice for first time purchase of a distiller?
NO, BUY THE CHEAPEST TABLETOP YOU CAN AND THROW IT AWAY WHEN IT BREAKS, THAT IS YOUR BEST DEAL WHEN BUYING TABLETOP 1 GALLON DISTILLERS IN MY OPINION.

Im sure we will have to get something that gives more output in a few years as the kids get older. Also, is it ok to make several gallons at a time and store them in the refrigerator in glass containers for future use.
SURE

I don't like the idea of hanging out in the kitchen all day making distilled water.
THEY All shut off automatically. except the non electric, you can easily burn them up.

I can manage storing a fresh batch made every four or so hours. We are still using our

reverse osmosis
clark would declare such water death water, i would never drink it.

which can with the wholehouse water purification system. Should we take th RO water and put this through the distiller or whatever we get out of the sink, etc?
ALL WATER CAN BE DISTILLED.

Anyone have a waterwise 400? What has been your experience? Im looking at a few others that those here on the forum suggested. Would like to purchase by tomorrow!
