Hi, This is my first time posting but I've been following these blogs for several weeks now. I have just completed 7 flushes. I had a serious attack in December of '08 and was scheduled for surgery in Jan. Then I did some research and began the flushes. First flush, hundreds of small stones and what looked like thousands of tiny green specks AND relief from pain. I talked to my MDs, cancled my surgery and found out my blood pressure (which had been high for 3 years and my MD was talking meds)was back to normal range. I decided to to do one flush a month until all stones were out. 2nd flush: hundreds of medium sized stones. I didn't quite make it to the third flush before another attack, so I immediately began the fast and set up the next flush. Hundreds of stones again. I wonder how many can such a tiny organ hold. Anyway, I did two more flushes that week, two days apart because of continued pain. Each time the stones seemed to be larger, but still numerous. Then I decided I'd better flush every Saturday/Sunday until I get cleaned out. (If anyone thinks this is too agressive let me know.) I am waisted pretty much all day Sunday until about 3pm or so when I start to feel strong again. The next Flush #6: the stones were all tan and mushy and looked like they had been breaking down from much larger stones. Some were flakes and others were as big as the first joint of my little finger (about 1 inch in diameter). I had begun taking daily doses of Cod Liver Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Lecithin and I wonder if the Lecithin had begun breaking down the larger stones. Anyway, this week's flush: #7 was back to green stones again. There were hardly any small stones and much fewer large stones but most of them were the 1/2 to 1 inch size. I would like some assurance that I am actually ridding myself of stones, so the info on the lab result is helpful. I'm also interested in giving the egg, oil and lime recipe a try as the thought of the Epsom Salts and the oil and lemon are all making me a bit sick feeling at the moment. I'm committed to seeing this through and feel like I have a ways to go, so something more pleasant sounds like it would be worth a try. I also think I'd better try the herbs to break up the stones as I think what I have left are probably rather large. I haven't seen the ultra sound and CAT scans I had done with the first attack so I'm not sure how many I had to begin with, but I still have the distended, full feeling most of the time. Perhaps I'll post more another time and speculate as to how my gall bladder/ liver got so clogged. I'm a 57 year old mother of 5 who has done a number of extended fasts in my life. Anyway this is enough for now. I appreciate all the open conversation on this. It has been supportive to me over the last 4 months. Thanks.
