Re: calorie restriction and health benefits
I have posted several articles on my forum about this. This is what Dr. Lam has been preaching for years. If you go to his site and search cancer diets you will see he preaches a twenty percent reduction. So the first consideration is your waist line. How tall are you and divide that number in half and that is what your waist should be.
DR. OZ, preaches this day and night. So I am 5'6" and my waist has to be 33
inches. I have a 28
inch waist because I worked on it. Not thru exercise but by eliminating target foods such as meat, breads and pastas and rice. Well known fact that meat and rice sits in your gut for three days and fruits go thru in around 4 hours. So imagine a piece of meat sitting on your counter in your kitchen for 3 days, maggots big time. Now do you want that in your gut?
So now we have our waist size. Now you have to look for your ideal weight and then take twenty percent off of that. Now a normal diet allows 1500 calories, so take twenty percent off of that and you have 1200 calories. So your aim is to eat no more than 1200 calories a day and to eliminate food to have a flat stomach and to get your waist down. My stomach is flat, not from exercise from food.
Now we love grains so I switched to whole grains, I make my own bread, of course. Anyone want my recipe for that let me know and I make it with baking powder not yeast as yeast promotes fungus. I buy whole wheat oatmeal to make my homemade granola. Ask for that recipe also. So a few simple changes gets you on the road to happiness.
All the news is, if you want to live past 100 you need to go on a reduce calorie diet. We are what we eat and Americans and all eat way too much.
