Re: I'm fairly new here: newbie questions -

All of your questions are controversial and you could end up with apposing views...

>> "Is Flax Seed Oil good or bad for you?" <<

that depends upon whether you need the flax oil or not... I would personally use hemp oil over flax if I needed it.

>> "Fish oil better? None of the above?" <<

There is not "one better than the other"... again, which one do you "need" and why? What are you trying to accomplish... these are questions you need to be asking yourself.

Oils and fats should be limited to what you would normally use to make dressings and use for other food prep/cooking... along with the fats and oils naturally present in the foods you consume. Eat the "whole" fruit, seeds, and nuts... chop and grind them and use them in your food prep/cooking.

I like fruit and seed oils, wheat germ oil, olive oil and hemp oil for making dressings... each one for its taste contribution to what I am doing at the time... no need to be boring with the food.

I keep a good cod liver oil around for the occasional teaspoonful if I feel I am not getting enough D (sunshine)... but this is rare.

I use coconut oil for cooking.

Butter for the occasional piece of hemp seed or rye bread, popcorn, on top of cooked green vegetables etc. All together, that is plenty of oils/fats for most people.

>> "What is everyone's recommended supplements for vitamins, minerals, etc., specifically which brands?" <<

I did a great deal of research at one time on this and came to the conclusion that I liked Mega Foods/Innate Response\Dr. Ben Kim's (all the same product) vitamin and mineral supplements the very best as they are sourced from high quality foods... however, there are other great lines out there... Ethical Nutrients for example has great Bone mineral products (sourced directly from the bones of grass fed New Zealand Beef), as does Jarrow (Australian grass fed source).

However, if you find a rancher that still raises their cattle free range and/or purchase/raise and collect free range organic eggs, you can use the bones and eggshells to essentially do the same thing yourself.

>> "Barefoot vs. Humaworm: Who is better?" <<

Same as above... what are your needs? which do you prefer? I chose Humaworm for my parasite cleansing needs a year or two ago... however have no need for either one anymore at the present time. I am convinced that terrain is everything, and parasites will move out and stay away if your terrain is sound.
