Re: Are you still tired, fatigued? (LONG post)

I think you are likely right about your jaw theory. I have an over bite which my dentist is fixing now. I'm forced to fix it because if I don't my bottom teeth will be destroyed. They have tried to talk me into it for a long time and my jaw was starting to click.

The first thing he did was have a night guard made to stop me from grinding my teeth and to open the breathing passages so I wouldn't have any sleep apnea. It pushes the bottom jaw forward.

And now after a month of this he has me also wearing a retainer during the day which adjusts my bite during the day. I have to eat with it! This will be for 2 months. He says the teeth will grow and if not he will adjust the height of the teeth with bondo. Most peoples teeth are to small which causes the over bite.

The end result will be a properly aligned jaw with the right size teeth. The will have effects on posture, breathing etc.

This dentist is not your average dentist but an alternative dentist. Regular braces may straighten the teeth and make you look better but the mechanics of the jaw are not often considered.

Or maybe he's about to destroy my teeth big time. I don't know for sure.
