Re: Weight Loss: Water Fasting -v- Fuhrman, so far
hey mouseclick
(i feel like i'm stalking you around curezone! heh heh)
great job you! - and i couldn't agree more with your posts!
in any illness or disease, a clean, nutrient-rich, fresh diet and pure water is really the first bus-stop. although, in my case, i had such strange and refractory symptoms that my real healing came about through fasting. chrisb1's point about fasting being primarily for healing and cleansing is absolutely true: during my 36-day-to-completion, i only lost 5kgs/11lbs (although i was not overweight when i started anyway) because my body was in a process of healing and autolysis.
personally, i have never really agreed with fasting for weight loss because very few people - with the laudable exceptions of fonty and yourself! - have been able to maintain the necessary discipline post-fast. and you're right: fuhrman actually will not fast an overweight person until they have followed the e.t.l. diet for some time beforehand, since he believes that if they don't have the discipline to maintain a
healthy Diet before the fast, then it is unlikely that the patient would adhere to the strictures of the post-fast diet. makes sense, hnh!
you've done so good! i love it!

*edit* and yes, natural hygienists would agree with you! i have a diet plan somewhere that a fasting/natural hygiene doctor gave me (since he could not advise an out-patient fast) - i'll try to find it and i'll post it here soon...(although it is essentially e.t.l)
