Re: Juicing Oranges for the juice fast!
MH,
HAY
I just got my three boxes of oranges today! I got navel oranges from California.
OK, GLAD I LIVE CLOSER TO FLORIDA...
They are supposedly shipped fresh!
THEN YOU PAID WAY TOO MUCH, BUT NOT WASTED $$$.
Who knows! How much of a difference does it make if they are not totally fresh off the trees?
My question is this.....since I have a busy and hectic lifestyle.....is it ok if I juice a pint of orange juice first thing in the morning into a glass container and keep in the fridge to sip on all day?
CERTAINLY
WE WILL JUICE ENOUGH FOR A WEEK IF WE NEED TO.
It's gonna be tough to hang out with a juicer all day and juice one orange at a time while chasing a three year old around. I have NO support and am doing this at free will. No help! Im doing this fast while taking care of my son.
Also......is it best to peel the oranges or can I just stick the whole orange in the juicer....peel and all?
YA HAVE THE WRONG JUICER....YOU NEVER NEED TO PEEL, JUST CUT IN 1/2 AND JUICE, THEN THROW THE PEEL AWAY.
I have a Jack Lalanne juicer (I know....it sucks)....
NOT FOR ORANGES, MORE FOR CARROTS/APPLES. GO TO THE CEAP STORE AND BUY A HAND ORANGE JUICER FOR ABOUT $3.00, WORKS JUST FINE WHEN YOUR ONLY DOING 8 ORANGES PER DAY.
not best juicer....but I have to settle with using what I have at the moment. With this juicer....you can fit a small whole orange in the shute at one time.
NOPE
UNLESS YOU WANT ALL THE CHEMICAL SPRAYS IN YOUR JUICE ALONG WITH BITTER RHINE.
The bigger ones you have to cut in half. Not sure if they used waxes on these oranges! Probally so though! How long will it last in the fridge?
NO CLUE
I AM STILL DRINKING THE JUICE FROM ORANGES I PURCHASED 12/06/08 AND HAVEN'T TOUCHED THE HONEY BELLS I PURCHASED EARLY JANUARY. I KEEP THEM IN THE GARAGE THAT STAYS ABOUT 40 DEGREES IN THE WINTER MONTHS..LAST YEAR I FINISHED UP THE LAST ORANGE 6/02/08.
