Don't be fooled! LDN is not what you think a drug is - LDN is holistic

I know that a lot of people on this board are like me - they have a natural, and healthy distrust of pharmaceutical drugs. Interferon (for my hep c) about killed me and failed to clear the virus. I went on a 10 week juice fast to detoxify afterward, and that saved my life (posted on this board earlier). I am deeply entrenched in holistic methods and practices. But we should have open minds, not closed minds, and there is an exception to every rule.

Despite being a loud advocate for natural healing techniques, I have a medical education. I understand science, and I understand drugs, and I have to tell you, if the drug companies had known what LDN would do, they never would have developed it.

LDN is the definitive immunomodulator. It maximizes and optimizes your whole immune system. It makes your immune system effective against cancer, all autoimmune diseases, autism, hiv, etc. The reason that it is not mainstream is that the drug patent ran out before the effectiveness of low dose naltrexone was discovered. The difference is that LDN makes your immune system work, it does not do the work itself.

We've all heard wild claims before. Please note, however, that the wild LDN claims of success ARE BEING MADE BY DOCTORS AND THEIR PATIENTS. Here is a website, kind of funky design, full of wild success stories. The difference is that the website is written and maintained by doctors and their patients on LDN:

Low dose naltrexone is very widely used now for cancer and autoimmune diseases, specifically for crohn's and multiple sclerosis. It is just now getting started for hepatitis c and b.

There is a group of the very early group of hepatitis LDN users. While still very small, the group is full of success stories, backed with labs.

There are other yahoo groups for LDN cancer patients, and LDN MS sufferers.

Low Dose Naltrexone is an FDA approved drug developed as an endorphin antagonist. At a high dose (50mg) it blockades the endorphin receptors and keeps drug abusers from getting high when they shoot heroin. High dose form has an FDA 20 year record of safety with no side effects and proven liver-protective benefits.

But the Low Dose form of naltrexone (3-4 mg) is actually an almost homeopathic dose, and it works much differently from the high dose. Here's why: LDN blockades a small percentage (10 percent?) of the endorphin receptors for about four hours, then they fall off and degrade. The temporary blockade makes those cells respond by overproducing endorphins, flooding the system. All immune cells have a high concentration of endorphin receptors on the cell walls. It is the endorphins that marshall the immune cells, making them differentiate and proliferate. Also Natural killer cell activity is increased greatly by LDN, which is why it is so effective against cancer.

The reason that LDN works on seemingly everything is that it stimulates our native immune system to function correctly at a high rate of efficiency. Our immune systems are supposed to work on most diseases. LDN gives the immune system the boost it needs.

This board is full of people looking for options.

I was in the same boat before I found LDN. Now, I am looking forward to old age!

Please don't let your prejudices blind you to the best option you could ever imagine.

p.s. Did I mention that endorphins are cell messengers that make you experience pleasure? I call them little pleasure bombs! Ever since starting on LDN, I am in a great mood, with a huge sense of humor. And, something that even studies have noted, when I exercise the endorphin rush makes me giddy with pleasure! Also, when I get my deep tissue massage, my myotherapist can't even hurt me because the pain turns immediately to pleasure with all the pain/pleasure endorphins in my system. It hurts so good!
