Re: A perfect person is...

Who ever said I was trying to protect God? Yeah you're are right, He doesn't need protecting. We are told in the bible to be firm against false doctrines spoken in the name of Chrisitanty, not for the sake of protecting God, but to protect those hearing the false doctrines. Paul spoke a lot about this. He didn't want the brethren deceived by those teachers preaching false doctrines. While God is the ultimate protector of his sheep, he still uses other sheep as a means of his protection.
The apostle Paul was not a quite passive man. Have you read the bible and how Paul handled things? What about how Paul handled Peter when he started to go astray with his teaching of the gospel? Paul was rough on him, and many would say that's an understatement. I'm not trying to be like Paul. I'm just being me, and I am very imperfect no doubt.
So did I handle this whole thing perfectly, in a perfect Christ-like way? No, I'm sure I didn't.
This thread is called A perfect person is.....
Well there is only one perfect person and that is Jesus Christ. I'm certainly not perfect, and I certainly don't do everything in the perfect way, and that is why I need grace and I need Christ.
