I agree with Chiron.
Unless you are well-versed in the knowledge of fasting (water-fasting) as opposed to "juice-feasting" then it is entering the unknown, and where the biggest fear of fasting is the fear of fasting itself.
There are very few contraindications to water-fasting, unless someone has liver cancer or extreme cardiovascular problems, and even then it is quite safe if supervised in the latter instance.
To make any real progress it is probably a question of changing your mindset away from the "treatment" mentality, into one of adopting a "laissez-Faire" or one of "letting-alone" and allowing the body to accomplish what it can only do by itself......................given the right circumstances.
Fasting was referred to as "the rest cure" by its early advocates and where this means resting the body and the mind: physical rest and physiological rest or water-fasting.
