SARA,
before we consider skin hives, urticaria, or nettle rash, we should look at the cause of this condition, and how to resolve this and any other health malady that you may have.


Firstly, we have to look at the true cause of disease, which really means that the body is not "at-ease" with itself.
A system of health care and recovery/maintenance, which has stood the test of time because it actually WORKS in practice is: Natural Hygiene, which believes that if you remove the causes of disease, then you will not suffer from it. This was so absolutely true in my own case in the recovery from Leukemia.
The body is essentially a self-healing, self-repairing, and self-maintaining organism, and given the ideal conditions and sufficient time, the body will recover from and remain free from, any disease........IF you eliminate toxemia. This allows the body to self-heal and remain healed............permanently.


Curezone is essentially about alternative "treatments" or "remedies" for pre-existing disease-conditions, which for the most part have not been helped by Mainstream Medicine, and where they are usually very good at what they purport to do, as in the case of Oleander in the treatment of cancer: Tonys Anti-Cancer protocol for example; but the future of Medicine and healthcare is growing towards prevention, or a prophylactic healthcare system, which will eventually avoid the need for any treatments of any kind: this is the essence of Natural Hygiene.



Secondly, the skin (along with other functions) is an organ of elimination, but this is not the only organ that enables the elimination of toxins: the primary organs are the liver, Kidneys, and colon/bowels in allowing the body to detoxify........the skin is of secondary importance.
However, skin eruptions are a sign of bodily-detox and where this process should be allowed to continue unabated, in allowing the body to detoxify.
The bowels rarely "move" on an extended water-fast, so "constipation" is the "norm" as the bowels will shutdown for the most part. They will however move again with greater regularity post-fast in their own good time, as long as you adhere to a "plant-based diet".
There is also a HUGE distinction between juice-fasting and water-fasting and where the latter will detoxify/heal the body far more efficiently and speedily.


What MH refers to as "extreme-fasting", and by implication of detriment to the body, is actually Natures own method of cleansing and healing.


My own advice, which will most definitely improve your health beyond measure, and eradicate your current health-problems, is to water-fast (according to thirst) for between 10 to 20 days, being careful to rest as much as possible. This will accomplish the maximum cleansing and healing that you are in need of, and where post-fast you should adhere to a properly combined plant-based diet, as endorsed by Dr Joel Fuhrman MD, which will maximize digestion and prevent further toxemia..........and therefore more disease......................


"Therapeutic fasting accelerates the healing process and allows the body to recover from serious disease in a dramatically short period of time. In my practice I have seen fasting eliminate lupus and arthritis, remove chronic skin conditions such as Psoriasis and eczema, heal the digestive tract in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, and quickly eliminate cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure and angina. Breaking the fast.............
"The care that must be exercised in breaking a fast is in proportion to the length of the fast and to the general condition of the fasting individual. The approved plan is to break the fast on liquid food, using for this purpose fruit juice, or tomato juice, or Watermelon juice, or vegetable broths. Fruit juice--usually orange juice--is used most often.
Orange juice, grapefruit juice, or fresh tomato juice are excellent with which to break a fast. Watermelon juice or the juice of the fresh pineapple or of fresh grapes may also be used. A half a glass may be given at the start. After an hour, another half glass may be given. Juice may be given every hour the first day. The second day a whole glass of juice every two hours may be employed. On the third and fourth days give the whole orange or grapefruit and on the fifth day other foods may be added. Large meals should not be attempted in less than a week. These instructions are for the long fast. A short fast requires less care in breaking and is usually followed for several days by an eliminating diet".......Dr H M Shelton
