Re: Placebo Effect
imo it's fruitless to follow "studies", or even look to them to try to untangle where and how they fail, or sometimes don't. (and I admit I did a lot of research over the last eight years or so before I woke up to this) This is the kind of endless distraction dreamed up by the powers that be (and supported by advertising..etc. etc.)to keep people so busy -and tailspun- they don't take time to 'go within'. It's what has created this economy (and the falling empire) based on greed and endless desire. Human beings have the Grace of free will, which means they can choose to align their will with the small will of the Newtonian paradigm that seems to still largely prevail--or they can move past all paradigms and 'isms' -edit: and fear!- and align with Greater Will.
it's simple, but not unless a person gets simple. Faith of course can play a large part in a person's testing strong or weak. as per kinesiology. (As does a person's sense of self-worth, the will to live and be well, the wish to suffer etc. All sorts of subliminal factors). Or, it could be that the immune system is still young. In the end, it really does come back to mind-- and there's a nice little book (an old book) called "as a man thinketh" that discusses this stuff in the context of the so-called real world, business and all that. Another book i really liked years ago is called "Seedtime and Harvest". I remember underlining all my favorite passages, and finally ended up with the whole book lined in florescent pink.
