Re: Placebo Effect
Sorry. sometimes I can get a little intense, these years since my eyes have been opened. But the thing is, it IS "common sense".
It's just that common sense has been stolen, and sold back to us as "news", new discoveries and new developments (follow the money and the chemical trail), and real common sense is now Uncommon Sense, (often called 'witchery' and all that...) if that makes sense. :-)
The simplest things are complicated by the world and its cult of 'matter'. It takes time and a lot of persistence (and a devotion to 'the whole truth') to come around to seeing through all the convolutions that are fabricated everywhere, to stop people from believing they have their *own* connection to Source, and don't need the middleman!
mh of course put it all much more succinctly. "the placebo effect works better!"
which must mean beyond faith and trust and all the subtle variables that keep them studying for eons it comes down to the fact that people aren't being poisoned. (with the sugar pills) Now, maybe if people could get their heads around a therapeutic water fast.
many otherwise smart people still believe that it'll kill you to go three days without food, (or juice). God help you if you go past ten. Having gone 29, on just water and a lot of studying beforehand, my appreciation of what is possible in this world has taken a quantum leap past mainstream doctors and doctor-supported research. (There are, or were some good MDs out there--but they are the ones who fled the system, like the old masters mh likes to read and study, and the natural Hygienists.)
