I do believe it's true but I've also been taught that it means a cal/mag imbalance - not necessarily a deficiency of both - but an imbalance. I guess the simplest answer is that if a parasitic infection makes it hard for you to stay alkaline then your body will need more cal and mag to become balanced than may be possible with just a normal diet, ie: get your alkaline balance back by getting the buggers and replenishing your body.
