Re: Shopping For A Distiller

If you don't mind a factory refurbished one (30-day warranty), you can get an AquaVie on ebay right now with shipping for about half the price of what a factory refurbished unit would cost from the manufacturer's website.  I got my father into drinking distilled water and have been making extra to bring to his place on the weekend.  Takes 4 hours to make a gallon and was becoming a chore carrying bottles back & forth so I bid on one of these for him since the price seemed reasonable.

If you decide to order from the manufacturer's website, use the back button on your browser to get out of the ordering page and they will offer an additional container for free.  Actually, I just looked and saw they are having a sale on their new units for $200 so that may be a better deal--new is anywhere from $400 - $600.

I haven't received the one from ebay yet, but it looks very similar to the Millenium that I have.  I read somewhere that Millenium, AquaVie, and Waterwise are made by the same manufacturer.
