I had gallstones...(The pain can be triggered by eating pork, if you're wondering if your--under the rib--pain is indeed gallstones.)
One word of caution, ...only do this if you've had the pain for less than one year (meaning the stones are still small enough). Remedy: Simply drink a little olive oil.
I'd only had my pains for about 6 months, when I was told of this by a naturopathic physician. It took one dose of about 1/3 cup of olive oil and they were simply gone. Period. Since then, I make sure to eat something that contains a fairly high "ingredient" dose of olive oil once a month or so, and I have never had another attack. It's been about 20 years now since I drank that 1/3 cup of olive oil.
