I am on Day 20 today. I started at 231.5 pounds, and this morning I weighed in at 201. Yesterday was a 1/2 pound day (I've had a couple lately), but today was 1.5 pounds.
My scale is a Detecto balance-beam type scale like you would find in a fitness club or doctor's office. I picked it up for $50 on Craigslist. I was tired of getting inconsistent results from spring-type scales.
I think you just need to relax and remember that your primary goal is health not weight loss. In fact, I'd say there is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight if you view at as being a step toward health. But if you just want to lose weight to improve your "image" (what other people think about you) you need to learn to live for better motives.
Hang in there, and don't throw in the towel. Dr. Shelton says that if you don't intend to fast to completion you shouldn't even start.
